I heard a bamboo sing,
the most celestial tunes
I was asleep under a tree,
when the bamboo shook my soul
The bamboo shook my soul
like nothing else ever before
I knew not of its origin
nor its resolve to carry me,
but it has surely shaken my spirit,
it has shaken my shallow life
Now it calls me to pursue,
to follow the nature’s hymn
and journey do i blindly,
beyond tender but tearing sounds
It tore my gentle heart
and left me with nothing inside,
nothing but my perennial self
